The Experience

Join us for an extraordinary 6-day photography journey through one of Northern Norway and the Arctic’s best kept secrets — Efjord, Skjomen, Tysfjord and Swedish Lapland.

This retreat is designed for those seeking solitude, world-class scenery and a truly immersive Arctic experience. We stay the entire week at the exclusive Efjord & Stetind Resort — a luxury lodge blending modern comfort with wild nature. A private chef prepares breakfast and dinner daily using local ingredients.

Throughout the week, we’ll chase Arctic light, explore remote fjords, shoot seascapes at sunrise and wait for the aurora to ignite the sky after dark. These locations are places known only to locals — raw, untouched, and almost always empty of tourists and other photographers.

We work with different approaches and techniques so you return home with unique and powerful imagery.

What Makes This Retreat Unique

  • Exclusive small group (max 6)
  • Remote locations known only to locals
  • Luxury lodge with private chef
  • Guided by two Arctic photographers
  • Focus on storytelling, light & atmosphere

Your Guides

Led by photographer Rune Dahl — with 30 years exploring and documenting this region — together with his son Sondre Dahl, an accomplished adventure and landscape photographer.

Rune is the author of three acclaimed photo books — Galleri Narvik, Arctic Moments, and Edge of the Arctic. Together they bring unmatched local insight, deep knowledge of Arctic light and access to locations that don’t exist on any map.

With support from local professionals and mountain guides, this retreat blends world-class photography, hospitality and wild Arctic exploration.
